# Hackfort 3

Boise State University, Treefort Music Fest and tech leaders in Idaho are proud to bring world-class innovators together with local talent to continue to built our creative, emerging tech city. Among the bands, food trucks and films that happen during Treefort, Hackfort 3 illuminates tech and creative culture with three days of TED-style talks, panels, demos, presentations, product launches and workshops that explore the intersection of technology in music, education and civic life.

With the help of partners Metageek, Knight Foundation, Perkins Coie, ArmgaSys, City of Boise, Balihoo, Idaho Commerce, Kount, White Cloud Analytics, IdahoPTech Network, Choose Idaho, HP, Micron Technology, Boise Code Camp, and local tech leaders C.K. Haun and Karen Meyer, Hackfort will take over The Owyhee on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Hackfort culminates on Saturday with a big party!

President Obama shouts-out Hackfort!

The day after his State of the Union Speech, President Barack Obama visited Boise State University on January 21, 2015 and toured the innovative culture on campus. He also gave a shout-out to Hackfort – bringing national attention to the program.
