School Spirit in Abundance
There is nothing like a college campus on a crisp fall weekend with the chants of “Boise…State” wafting from the football stadium. October was such a time as Boise State welcomed alumni, parents, families and friends for a variety of festivities, culminating in Bronco football games on the blue.
Homecoming Week was a “Bronco Nation Celebration” with a parade, campus and community-decorating contest, walking tours of campus, reunions, an outdoor concert and spirited campus competitions for alumni, students, and Boise State faculty and staff. The weeklong series of events reached fever pitch with the “Black Out” of Bronco Stadium for the UNLV game.
About 1,800 guests visited Boise State for Parent and Family Weekend, including a family dinner, a chance to touch the blue turf, a sunrise hike to Table Rock, a sold-out Game Day brunch with President Bob Kustra and Kathy Kustra, and special section seating for the Fresno State game.
